I want to introduce you to a traditional Thai fishcake as the sixth dish in my chef selection series.

What is traditional Thai fishcake?

Traditional Thai fish cake is made from fish paste that has been pounded until gloopy, which will give a bouncy crunch texture to the fishcake once fried. Then it will be mixed with red curry paste, minced kaffir lime leaves and minced Thai long beans before forming it up, and fried. It always served with Ar-Jard dip, a light sweet and sour dip that has sliced shallot, sliced fresh chili pepper and crusted peanuts in it.

It is also one of my favorite snacks that I often get from the street vendor in Thailand. 🤤

Bon Appetit!
