Many years ago, I went out with my (now) husband to a famous Vietnamese restaurant and got this drink. It was super yummy that I had to order more, so I can see what in the mix and memorized the taste. I love to make this drink when having guests over. And they always love it. My hubby like to spice it up with 2oz of whiskey and a dash of Angostura bitter. He said it tastes like an Old Fashion with a twist. πŸ˜‹πŸΉπŸ₯ƒ

Boil dry longan with sugar in water. It can be served both hot and cold. So the amount of sugar is depends on how you want to drink it. Don’t make it too sweet if you want to drink it hot. Otherwise, make it extra sweet if you want to drink it cold with ice cubes.
