Yesterday because we had a big lunch, we wanted just something light for the dinner. And I ended up making this Japanese chilled tofu for our dinner. It’s usually eaten as a starter. So I paired it with a Japanese salad too.

This dish is so perfect to make on the day that you don’t feel like turning the stove on, but still need some decent and yummy food to eat.😄

Ingredients:

~ 1 special soft tofu (Yakko tofu), chilled

~ spring onion, chopped

~ bonito flakes

~ 1 thumb ginger, grated

~ roasted sesame, seaweed (optional)

~ Japanese soya sauce or Ponzu

How to:

✔️ Place the chilled tofu on a serving plate.

✔️ Place spring onion, bonito flakes, grated ginger on top of the tofu (then sprinkle with the optional sesame seeds and seaweed).

✔️ Serve the soya sauce on the side, to be poured on top when eating.
