Thai Chicken Wings With Crispy Herbs

I am a die hard fan of chicken wings. There are so many great recipes for chicken wings in Thailand. One of the famous recipe is chicken wings with fried herbs. This recipe is so simple with very few ingredients. The aroma from fish sauce marinade and the crispy herbs are such a great combo that so mouthwatering. 

And this is also another famous Thai starter that many people would agree with me. But it is not only a good starter or a great snack. Fried chicken wings are also a great sidekick to SomTam feast with Laab and steam sticky rice too.

Ingredients:

~ 500 g. chicken wings

~ 1 1/2 tbsp fish sauce 

~ 1 tsp pepper

~ 1 tsp garlic powder

~ Cooking oil for frying

Fried herbs

~ 1 lemongrass, sliced

~ 3 kaffir leafs, sliced

How to:

✔️ Marinade the chicken wings with fish sauce, pepper and garlic powder for at least 3 hrs. 

✔️ Heat up the oil and fry the herb first, one type at a time, in medium high heat until golden brown and set it aside.

✔️ Fry the chicken wings after the herbs in medium high heat until it is cooked through and golden brown.

✔️ Add the crispy herbs onto the fried chicken wings before served.
